Job summary

Steelcon Engineering LLP in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, seeks a Senior Design Engineer – Static Equipment to bridge engineering design, detailed drafting, and manufacturing execution. You will design pressure vessels and heat exchangers per ASME, develop production-ready drawings, and collaborate with production and QC teams.

The role emphasizes end-to-end involvement from client requirements to code-compliant, production-ready outputs and requires hands-on PV Elite / Codeware Compress experience,

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in ASME pressure vessel / static equipment design.
• Experience in heavy engineering / process equipment manufacturing industry.
• Exposure to high alloy materials (SS, Duplex, Hastelloy, etc.) is a strong plus.
• Certifications in AutoCAD / SolidWorks (CSWP/CSWE) are preferred.
• Work on critical ASME & PED projects.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and static equipment per ASME Section VIII Div.1, TEMA, and applicable standards.
• Create 2D/3D drawings (GAD & detailed fabrication drawings) using AutoCAD / SolidWorks; develop BOMs and manufacturing drawings.
• Ensure drawings are production-ready and code-compliant; collaborate with Production, QC, and Planning teams.
• Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and client discussions; revise drawings based on feedback.
• Maintain documentation, traceability, and revision control; support inspection planning and audits.

This role involvesend-to-end involvement— from interpreting client requirements to deliveringcode-compliant designs and production‑ready drawings.

• Performmechanical design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and static equipmentas perASME Section VIII Div.1, TEMA, and applicable standards
• Use tools likePV Elite / Compressfor design validation and calculations
• Ensure compliance withASME, API, EN, PED, and Good Engineering Practices
• Review and validate design inputs, specifications, and client requirements

Prepare2D/3D drawings (GAD & detailed fabrication drawings) usingAutoCAD / SolidWorks. Develop:

• Weld plans
• Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Detailed manufacturing drawings
• Ensure drawings areproduction-ready and code-compliant
• Work closely withProduction, QC, and Planning teamsfor execution alignment
• Participate indesign reviews, project meetings, and client discussions
• Revise drawings/designs based on feedback and site/manufacturing constraints
• Ensure adherence toISO, ASME U-Stamp, AD 2000 HP0, PED requirements
• Maintain properdocumentation, traceability, and revision control
• Supportinspection planning, audits, and compliance reviews

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of:

• ASME BPVC Section VIII Div.1, TEMA (mandatory)
• API, IS standards

Hands-on experience with:

• Intergraph PV Elite / Codeware Compress (mandatory)
• AutoCAD LT or similar 2D drafting software (mandatory)
• SolidWork or similar 3D drafting software (preferred)

Understanding of:

• GD&T (preferred)
• EN 13445, PED, AD 2000 (preferred)
