Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development of small-size HTCs (6–10).
• Create and optimize 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings.
• Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing and service teams for feasibility.
• Apply design principles to enhance rigidity, thermal stability and precision.
• Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis and FEA simulations.
• Support prototyping, testing and validation of HTC models.
• Document design processes, BOMs and ECNs.
• Benchmark HTC competitor models and integrate best practices.

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking two experienced Mechanical Design Engineers with deep expertise in Horizontal Turning Centres (HTCs). The ideal candidates will have a proven track record in design and development of compact HTC models, with hands‑on experience in HTC series from leading competitors such as ACE, JYOTI CNC, LMW, TSUGAMI.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development of small-size HTCs - 6~10
• Create and optimize 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, manufacturing, service etc) to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
• Apply design principles to enhance machine rigidity, thermal stability, and precision
• Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and FEA simulations
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new HTC models
• Document design processes, BOMs, and engineering change notices (ECNs)
• Benchmark HTC competitor models and integrate best practices into new designs

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Experience

• 812+ years in mechanical design of Horizontal Turning Centres
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office tools-Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Product development exposure to HTC models such as:
  • Mi06, 8 series (TSUGAMI)
  • Jobber, LT20 Series (ACE)
  • DX200 Series (Jyoti)
  • S TURN, LX20 Series (LMW)

Preferred Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
• Specialization in Machine Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or CAD/CAM is a plus
• Proficiency in English for effective communication across teams and stakeholders

Skills & Tools

• Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and mechanical systems
• Familiarity with machining processes, materials, and thermal dynamics
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Willingness to travel abroad for technical collaboration and benchmarking
