Job summary

VIP is seeking a role focused on end-to-end raw material planning and sourcing across China and India. The position drives cost optimization, master data governance, and production continuity through data-driven planning and timely O2P execution.

The role collaborates with Planning, SCM, Finance, and Quality teams to ensure material readiness, minimize stockouts, and maintain accurate pricing and vendor terms in SAP/ERP. Strong data analytics support is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage raw material (RM) sourcing from China and India, ensuring cost, quality, and supply continuity
• Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis for sourcing decisions, factoring in landed cost, freight, duties, and lead times
• Identify and execute lead time reduction initiatives across suppliers and logistics routes
• Own the end-to-end Order to Payment cycle for raw materials from PO release to GRN and invoice processing
• Ensure timely order placement, tracking, and resolution of discrepancies to avoid payment delays or production disruption
• Maintain and govern RM master data, including item masters, vendor masters, and price masters
• Ensure accuracy and timely updates of pricing, lead times, and vendor terms in the system (SAP/ERP)
• Lead monthly production planning, aligning RM availability with production schedules and demand forecasts
• Collaborate closely with Planning and SCM teams to ensure material readiness and prevent stockouts or excess inventory
• Track and report key metrics: RM ageing, supplier lead times, and price trends
• Use metrics to flag risks (aging stock, delayed deliveries, cost escalations) and drive corrective actions
• Partner with Planning, SCM, Finance, and Quality teams to align sourcing and inventory decisions with business goals
• Provide regular visibility to leadership on RM status, cost performance, and supply risks

Sourcing & Procurement

• Manage raw material (RM) sourcing from China and India, ensuring cost, quality, and supply continuity
