Job summary

BSH Household seeks a Material Planner in Chennai to manage end-to-end material planning and ensure optimal material availability.

The role collaborates with suppliers and internal teams to align on schedules, use SAP for daily planning and execution, and optimize logistics and inventory costs.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SAP MM & PP, SD & WM.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; fluent in English; intercultural experience.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure standardized material planning approach within SCn-SC4M considering a defined time schedule to synchronize all related material planning tasks / activities. The material planner covers all planning and control processes regarding material disposition from suppliers, assuring required material availability at minimum total costs (stock, transport costs, etc.).
• Communication with suppliers and discuss/agree changes inside fix horizon for material schedules
• Plan and order production materials according actual production plan and process related SAP transactions (MD04,MD06) daily.
• Secure material supply of external suppliers to production, including bottleneck management and deduction of measurements.
• Check and correct COGI List for materials, check online availability for 3 weeks, (check range of coverage list)
• Check Exception messages (acc. to fix horizon of supplier)
• Check new materials by new parts list, check discontinued parts list
• Maintain new materials parameters in SAP
• Create shipping notifications according to "real" shipments
• Adjust delivery lines according to real shipments if necessary

Logistics and shipment tracking:

• Coordination of inbound logistics, including shipment tracking
• Check if documents/goods are ready for future shipment and coordinate Shipments with HUB Nauen
• Daily alignment and common problem solving with Production planning
• Plan and order materials according to customer service demands

New Material tracking and vendor evualuation:

• Logistic parameter control for all supply relevant processes (SAP Parameter)
• Supplier performance evaluation in SAP as per the delivery and quality
• Logistic agreement preparation for suppliers

Coordination for other topics:

• Support in custom processes of imported production material, including priority lists for custom clearance.
• Coordination with production planning, quality, purchasing and production

Phase Out Planning & raw material Master data Maintaining:

• MRP parameter check
• Stock check for obsolete status and update scrap cost file
• Planning for phase out variant raw materials
• Check with DE if the raw material can be used for alternate variant
• Communicate to supplier for last shipment

Container planning for import shipments:

• Check FTL and consol shipments - adjust delivery lines in order to optimize container utilization
• Check with freight forwarder for container loading and organize pick up with suppliers

ECO topics and new material (phase-in) trial production:

• ECO meeting discussion to implement the new ECO change and plan the consumption of old material before introduction
• For phase in topics- check and updated new material parameter and align with DE for SOP dates
