Job Description
The Finance and Accounts Manager is responsible foroverseeing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financialreporting, and maintaining fiscal records. This role involves managing accountspayable and receivable, performing month-end close activities, and ensuringcompliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- ManageFinancial Operations: Oversee daily transactions including accountspayable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
- FinancialReporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring timelyreconciliation and reporting.
- BudgetManagement: Assist in developing and monitoring budgets for variousdepartments and projects.
- Compliance:Ensure all financial operations comply with GAAP and relevant laws andregulations.
- CashFlow Management: Monitor cash and investment balances and perform cashflow forecasting.
- AuditPreparation: Assist with year-end close activities and external auditrequirements.
- ProcessImprovement: Implement and train staff on financial software tostreamline operations.
- Capitalisationof intangible assets: Closely involved in capitalisation of intangibleassets by coordinating with Information technology team.
- Maintenanceof Fixed Asset Register : Monitoring and maintenance of fixed assetregister and handling the various audits with respect to Fixed AssetRegister.
- Communication:Serve as the primary contact for internal staff on financial matters.
Qualifications:
- Education:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A Master'sdegree or CA Inter (Final discontinued).
- Experience:5-10 years of experience in financial management and accounting.Supervisory experience is beneficial.
- Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel. Knowledge ofaccounting principles and financial management software (e.g., SageIntacct).
