Kshema enables cultivators with resilience from financial distress due to extreme climate events and perils through localized insurance products. Kshema is leveraging Technology to provide cutting edge insurance solutions to farmers. Kshema has a pan India presence with more than 500+ employees on roles along with 500+ employees as contractors.

Responsibilities

• The role is responsible for making all decisions on risk management issues that directly impact the strategic direction of the company and ensuring that the risk management policies and strategies comply with applicable regulations.
• Oversee/track risk incidents, liaise with business for Root Cause Analysis (RCA), resolution with corrective and preventive action plans, and report updates regarding OR incidents to the CRO and risk committee.
• Undertake timely period review of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) exercise.
• Provide key inputs for review of the Outsourcing Policy.
• Liase with various stakeholders to collate and manage vendor/activity database.
• Ensure timely delivery of internal/external reports and ad-hoc assignments given by CRO/risk committee.
• Responsible for providing training and awareness to build the right Risk Culture and Capability.
• The role reports to the Chief Risk Officer.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of organizational systems, processes, and products.
• Risk Management: knowledge of risk frameworks (COSO, ISO).
• Regulatory knowledge: conversant with risk analytics.
• Analytical skills with good knowledge of Data analytics.
• Ability to create an Enterprise Risk Management Framework and operational risk management framework and facilitate understanding of risk requirements across the organization.
• Experience in managing operational risk, including its identification, assessment and reporting, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting, and implementing an effective mechanism that enforces monitoring and testing of controls.
• Design and maintain risk management tools like Key Risk Indicators and loss databases.
• Monitor performance of KRIs against management approved thresholds and report breaches to CRO and risk committee.
• Oversee/track risk incidents, liaison with business for RCA, resolution with corrective and preventive action plan, report updates regarding OR incidents to CRO and risk committee.
• Educational qualifications as specified below under Educational Qualifications.

• Preferred MBA with engineering background/CA.
