Job summary

NIIT Foundation in Delhi is seeking a Senior Manager – Fundraising to lead donor outreach, develop proposals, secure funding and maintain long-term relationships with corporate CSR teams, foundations and other institutional donors.

The role involves shaping fundable projects, coordinating due diligence, and presenting impact to donors while managing forecasts and donor records. Strong proposal writing and relationship management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate qualification in management, social work, development studies or a related field preferred.
• Strong experience in fundraising, CSR partnerships, institutional giving or business development in the social sector.
• Proven track record in securing and managing corporate or foundation funding, including renewals.
• Excellent proposal writing, presentation, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Ability to develop project budgets and communicate programmes outcomes to donors.
• Strong planning and coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of CSR funding practices and grant compliance in India.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan aligned with programme priorities and funding goals.
• Identify prospective CSR, foundation and institutional partners; build a pipeline and lead outreach through to agreement.
• Prepare concept notes, proposals, budgets and grant applications in collaboration with programme and finance teams.
• Build relationships with existing donors, renewals, and multi-year partnerships.
• Shape fundable projects with clear objectives, budgets, outcomes and implementation plans.
• Coordinate donor due diligence, agreements, reporting and review meetings with internal teams.
• Present programme progress, outcomes and impact to donors accurately and on time.
• Maintain fundraising forecasts, donor records and pipeline reports; monitor against targets.
• Represent NIIT Foundation at meetings, events and partnership forums.
• Guide team members and collaborate across programmes, finance, communications and leadership.

Job Description

The role will lead donor outreach, develop proposals, secure funding and maintain long-term relationships with corporate CSR teams, foundations and other institutional donors.

Key responsibilities

Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan aligned with NIIT Foundation’s programme priorities and funding goals.

Identify prospective CSR, foundation and institutional partners; build a qualified pipeline and lead outreach through to agreement.

Prepare compelling concept notes, proposals, budgets, presentations and grant applications in collaboration with programme and finance teams.

Build relationships with existing donors, identify opportunities for renewal and develop multi-year partnerships.

Work with programme teams to shape fundable projects with clear objectives, budgets, outcomes and implementation plans.

Coordinate donor due diligence, agreements, reporting and review meetings, with support from the relevant internal teams.

Present programme progress, outcomes and impact to donors accurately and on time.

Maintain fundraising forecasts, donor records and pipeline reports; review progress against agreed targets.

Represent NIIT Foundation at relevant meetings, events and partnership forums.

Guide team members and collaborate across programmes, finance, communications and leadership to deliver funding commitments.

Requirements

Qualifications and experience

Bachelor’s degree required; a postgraduate qualification in management, social work, development studies or a related field is preferred.
