Job summary

Tata Motors is seeking a Sr. Manager – BIW Mfg (Fixture Maintenance) to lead maintenance of weld shop fixtures and hemming dies. The role ensures body shell dimensional integrity and supports line-side issue resolution.

Responsibilities include designing tools and jigs, preventive maintenance, coordinating with SQ, VQ and planning teams, and driving SOPs/quality standards for new projects. Based in Pune/Ahmedabad with exposure to advanced metrology.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree/diploma in Mechanical/Tool & die.
• Experience: Around 5–8 years in BIW/Fixture maintenance.
• Knowledge of fixture maintenance and quality processes.

• Tools, Jigs designing - Fixture & Hemming Die Preventive Maintenance.
• Achieve Body Shell Dimension Integrity through analysis of CMM/PIST & CF reporting.
• Table Top Hemming Die Maintenance.
• Next Customer Issue resolution and line-side Poka-Yoke implementation.
• Support all lines & new projects launch for faster FSO delivery.
• Develop & implement SOPs and quality standards for new projects.
• Fixture Spares Management.
