Job summary

Tata Motors in Ahmedabad Plant is seeking a Sr. Manager – BIW Mfg (Fixture Maintenance) to lead maintenance of weld shop fixtures and hemming dies, ensuring tool reliability and process readiness for new projects.

The role focuses on maintaining body shell dimensional integrity through analysis of CMM/PIST and CF reports, coordinating with SQ, VQ and planning teams, and driving preventive maintenance and Poka-Yoke implementations.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree/diploma in Mechanical/Tool & die.
• Experience: Around 5~8 years.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for whole Weld Shop Fixtures & Hemming Die Maintenance.
• Tools, Jigs designing - Fixture & Hemming Die Preventive Maintenance.
• Achieve Body Shell Dimension Integrity through analysis of CMM/PIST & CF Report, Inhouse Fixture correction and in co-ordination with SQ, VQ & Planning Team.
• Table Top Hemming Die Maintenance.
• Next Customer Issue resolution.
• Implementation of Poka-Yoke on line side.
• Support all lines & new projects launch for the faster FSO delivery.
• Knowledge of developing & implementing P0, PP & SOP’s Quality Standards for New Projects.
