Job summary

Tata Motors is seeking an experienced professional for senior supplier quality leadership based in Pune. The role focuses on monitoring supplier parts quality, conducting audits, and driving ECN-related activities to ensure excellent product compliance.

The ideal candidate will oversee PPAP, Run at Rate, and supplier development initiatives, while championing TQM practices and cost-reduction projects across the network.

Qualifications

• Requires 10–15 years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality roles.
• B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Exposure to PPAP, audits, and ECN processes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve supplier parts PPM and vendor parts quality.
• Conduct regular process and product audits at suppliers.
• Lead site assessments and training of suppliers; drive direct on-line certification of suppliers.
• Coordinate PPAP and Run at Rate for ECN and participate in new parts PPAP with AQ team.
• Implement TQM practices and drive cost reduction initiatives at Sanand location.

Position Summary With Job Responsibilities

• Monitor & improve supplier parts PPM /Vendor Parts Quality.
• Conduct regular process & Product audits at suppliers.
• Conduct Manufacturing Site assessments and training of suppliers.
• Work on Direct on Line Certification of Suppliers.
• Attending & Resolution of in-house line-complaints Primary/line/DRL/DRR/CPA issues for bought-out parts.
• Attending and Resolution of external customer issues like Tata-PDI / Warranty related to suppliers parts.
• Development of components as per PRO-X process for ECN.
• Carryout PPAP and Run at Rate at supplier for ECN and participate in new parts PPAP with AQ team.
• Tooling and dies assessment at supplier end.
• Implementation of TQM practices.
• Work aggressively on Cost Reduction ideas and co-ordinate the activities at Sanand Location.
