Job summary

TATA STEEL UTILITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES in Jamshedpur seeks a professional with strong Civil/Architectural cost estimation and tendering experience. You will prepare BoQ, analyze rates, and draft commercial proposals while coordinating with internal teams.

The role requires proficiency in MS Office, data gathering from market intelligence, and effective communication to support tender approvals and project planning. This position emphasizes client interaction and long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate and present information effectively.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.
• Experience with cost estimation and rate analysis.

Responsibilities

• Understanding Civil & Architectural drawings with scope of work, preparing BoQ and estimates with quantity estimation.
• Preparing presentations, risk matrix, informations to top management/ CBCP to get approval for cost submission.
• Preparing commercial proposals as per the tender requirements.
• To have knowledge in Civil procurement.
• Coordinating with internal departments for Preparation of project construction plans & Schedules, staffs, Manpower & Equipment deployments, Organization charts and method statements and infrastructure requirements.
• To gather cost-related information and references from a variety of sources, including online search engines, industry, and market intelligence data to submit the tender.
• Effective liaison, support, and assistance between tender process of department and rest of organization.
• Preparation & ability to do Rate analysis & Cost model preparation.
• Providing Cost Estimates & proposal drafting including labor requirement
• Coordinate and review the cost estimates with procurement for accuracy of estimates.
• Preparation of MIS as per management requirements
• The candidate should be proficient in communication and presentation and shall be comfort and confident in dealing with customers, having a strong problem-solving aptitude for maintaining long-term partnering.
• Must possess good working knowledge on Computers (MS Office)
• Consumption & Reconciliation, Planning, Project Scheduling &, Tracking,
• Project Analyzing, Rate Analysis, BOQ, Vendor management, Commercial, QA/QC, as Project Controlling.
• Knowledge of different Civil /Mechanical/Electrical & Construction Materials & Services and also right Sourcing.
• Knowledge on Construction of Water Project, Industrial & Building Projects
• Understanding of Contracts terms & condition for RFQ, Purchase & Work Orders
• Updated knowledge of all statutory requirements and applicable tax.
