Job summary

HYT Engineering is seeking a Manager / Sr. Manager of Mechanical Purchase in Pune to lead strategic sourcing for CNC/VMC machinery and turnkey projects. You will procure components, raw materials, and capital equipment, drive vendor development, and manage contracts to optimize cost and ensure uninterrupted material supply for production schedules.

The role demands strong technical understanding of mechanical components, GD&T, BOMs, and leadership of SCM teams with 7+ years in a similar function.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a leadership SCM role.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, BOMs.
• Expertise in machining, fabrication, casting, forging, heat treatment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motion control components.

Responsibilities

• Procure mechanical components, fabricated parts, raw materials and capital equipment for CNC/VMC machine manufacturing, industrial machinery and turnkey projects.
• Focus on strategic sourcing and vendor development.
• Manage contracts and cost optimization.

The role focuses on strategic sourcing, vendor development, contract management, cost optimization, quality assurance, and ensuring uninterrupted material availability for production and project schedules requirements for HYT Engineering

Preferred candidate profile

• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Expertise in machining, fabrication, casting, forging, heat treatment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motion control components.
• Minimum 7+ years in a leadership role SCM functions.
