Job summary

HYT Engineering in Pune district, Maharashtra, seeks a senior procurement leader to manage electrical component sourcing for CNC/VMC machinery manufacturing and related projects. You will develop and implement strategies, supervise supplier selection, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet schedules.

You will lead cost reduction initiatives, assess supplier performance, ensure compliance with quality standards and procurement policies, and drive value engineering across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in a leadership-based SCM role.
• Proven experience in electrical procurement for CNC/VMC machines or industrial projects.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, BOMs and technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Procure electrical components and consumables for CNC/VMC machinery manufacturing & various projects.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for electrical components used in CNC/VMC machines and industrial projects.
• Procure electrical equipment including PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, VFDs, motors, MCC panels, control panels, switchgear, transformers, cables, sensors, relays, breakers, and industrial automation components.
• Manage procurement for plant electrical infrastructure, machine installation, commissioning, and project execution.
• Lead strategic sourcing, vendor selection, evaluation, and development.
• Prepare and evaluate RFQs/RFPs, techno-commercial comparisons, negotiate contracts, and release purchase orders.
• Coordinate with Design, Electrical Engineering, Production, Projects, Quality, Stores, and Finance departments.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet manufacturing and project schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Drive annual cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.

• Proven experience in Procurement in electrical procurement for CNC/VMC machine manufacturing, industrial machinery, automation, capital equipment, or industrial project execution.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and automation components.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications
• Minimum 10+ years in a leadership role SCM functions.
