Job summary

NPCI International Payments (NIPL) is seeking an experienced Payments product manager to oversee Rupay switching products, BEPG and Tokenisation, ensuring security, quality, and cost control. You will coordinate with aggregators, banks, and technology teams to enhance the RuPay Switching portfolio and improve UI and performance.

The role requires strong analytical skills, project management capability, and the ability to prepare presentations for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• 10 years of domain knowledge in Payments gateway / Switching & Tokenisation.
• Experience in Linux operating system, Oracle / Postgres / MySQL / Cassandra databases.
• Working knowledge in Testing tools like FinSIM / BOSS / JMeter.
• Knowledge in Selenium / Java / TestNG / JUnit.
• Well versed with Software Testing Methodologies and Techniques.

Responsibilities

• Managing the complete Payments switching products (Rupay, BEPG & Tokenisation) solution for NPCI.

• Tracking key developments in the payments industry and regulatory guidelines and suggest changes to the product offering.
• Working with Aggregators, Acquiring Banks, banks and tech solution providers to enhance the RuPay Switching portfolio.
• Collaborating with the technology product team to improve success rates and user interface.
• Transaction analysis and decline management; troubleshooting with internal and external teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal compliance points.
• Assist in key business projects and provide support; draft process documents and internal notes.
• Prepare presentations for internal and external audiences.

Accountabilities:

• Managing the complete Payments switching products (Rupay, BEPG & Tokenisation) solution for
• NPCI.
• Conforms to security and quality standards. Has accountability for results in terms of cost, direction
• and people management.
• Tracking key developments in the payments industry and regulatory guidelines and suggest suitable
• changes to the product offering wherever required.
• Working with Aggregators, Acquiring Banks, banks and technology solution providers to enhance the
• RuPay Switching portfolio.
• Working with technology product team to improve the success rates & User Interface.
• Transaction Analysis & Decline management
• Working with Internal & external teams for troubleshooting.
• Ensuring compliance & adherence to any regulatory & internal compliance points.
• Any other special projects, drafting process documents & Internal Notes as required.
• Assisting in Key business Projects and providing support for the same
• Preparing presentations for Internal and External audiences.

Knowledge / Skills:

• Project Management. (Preferably PMP Certified)
• Understanding of the switching payments architecture from a scheme perspective.
• Working knowledge of Switching products with EMV and other such similar solutions in the market.
• Strong analytical skills for portfolio analysis.
• Adept in Microsoft Excel, Power Point & other project management tools.
• Technical knowledge to understand the existing solution/issue and improvising on the same.
• Adept in problem solving and issue resolution.
• Team management & People management skills.
• Knowledge of key business indicators and metrics w.r.t payments switch.
• Understanding of the Indian payments Industry and ecosystem.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to interact with various internal and
• external stakeholders to drive the project.
