Job summary

Sunware Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist Product Development to lead Cards & Payments product initiatives in Pune. You will define technical requirements, drive API-based integrations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver platform features.

The role requires 5+ years in product management within Cards & Payments, deep ISO 8583 knowledge, and experience with payment networks, authorization, clearing and settlement. Immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Senior Specialist Product Development | Cards & Payments

Role: Senior Specialist Product Development

Experience: 5+ Years

Domain: Cards & Payments / FinTech / Payment Processing

We are looking for a Senior Specialist Product Development to join our Network Product team and drive product development across Cards & Payments and payment network processing.

The role will involve defining product and technical requirements, working with payment messaging standards, driving API-based integrations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver new products and platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and document technical requirements for payment products using ISO 8583 and ISO 20022 messaging specifications.
• Drive product strategy and development across authorization, clearing, settlement, and payment network processing.
• Work closely with Engineering and cross-functional teams to translate payment specifications into scalable API-based services.
• Manage REST APIs, JSON/XML payloads, authentication mechanisms, and service integrations.
• Drive API-first product design and integration requirements.
• Manage product releases, release readiness, and successful feature launches.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI/GenAI for product development, automation, operational efficiency, and engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on message specifications, product requirements, and platform capabilities.
• Present product proposals, strategy, roadmap, and progress updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Development, or Product Owner roles.
• Strong hands-on experience in Cards & Payments domain Mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 8583 transaction flows and messaging standards Mandatory.
• Strong understanding of authorization, clearing, settlement, and payment network processing Mandatory.
• Experience working with payment processing platforms, payment switches, or card payment infrastructure.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex initiatives and work across multiple teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of ISO 20022 standards and specifications management.
• Experience with REST APIs, API-first product design, JSON/XML.
• Basic SQL/Python and analytical skills.
• Hands-on exposure to AI/GenAI, LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI automation.
• Experience applying AI technologies to business or engineering use cases.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in Cards & Payments, Payment Processing, Payment Networks, ISO 8583, Visa/Mastercard processing, Authorization, Clearing & Settlement, and Product Development/Product Ownership will be preferred. Only Immediate Joiners. Candidates from Pune location are preffered.
