Job summary

AagatiServe Pvt Ltd is seeking a Senior/Lead Automation QA Engineer to spearhead our automation initiatives in Bengaluru. You will be the technical authority for the QA department, responsible for the architectural design of our automation frameworks and the technical mentorship of the QA team.

You will design scalable automation solutions, define the automation roadmap, and ensure seamless CI/CD integration with a focus on shift-left and shift-right practices.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in software testing, with at least 5+ years dedicated strictly to Automation Engineering.
• Mastery of Cypress and Playwright with ability to explain architecture and trade-offs.
• UI, API (REST/GraphQL), and database testing proficiency.
• Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud execution (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Observability with monitoring/reporting tools (Allure, Grafana, ELK).

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable automation frameworks from scratch using Cypress and Playwright.
• Define the automation roadmap, tool selection, and ROI analysis for automation vs. manual testing.
• Integrate automated tests into DevOps pipelines with emphasis on Shift Left/Right.
• Troubleshoot complex technical hurdles in test execution or environment stability.

We are seeking a Senior/Lead Automation QA Engineer with 7–10 years of experience to spearhead our automation initiatives. You will be the technical authority for our testing department, responsible for the architectural design of our automation frameworks and the technical mentorship of the QA team.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Design and implement highly scalable, custom automation frameworks from scratch using Cypress and Playwright.
• Strategic Planning: Define the automation roadmap, tool selection, and ROI analysis for automated vs. manual testing efforts.
• CI/CD Integration: Architect seamless integration of automated test suites into DevOps pipelines, ensuring high confidence in "Shift Left" and "Shift Right" practices.
• Advanced Troubleshooting: Act as the final point of escalation for complex technical hurdles in test execution or environment stability.
• Code Quality & Governance: Establish and enforce coding standards, perform deep-dive code reviews, and maintain the health of the automation repository.
• Mentorship: Lead and upskill mid-level and junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

Technical Qualifications

• Core Experience: 7–10 years in Software Testing, with at least 5+ years dedicated strictly to Automation Engineering.
• Expert Tooling: Mastery of Cypress and Playwright. You should be able to explain the internal architecture and trade-offs of both.
• Full-Stack Testing: Proven expertise in UI, API (REST/GraphQL), and Database testing.
• DevOps Mastery: Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based execution (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Observability: Experience with monitoring and reporting tools (e.g., Allure, Grafana, ELK stack) to visualize quality metrics.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Ownership: Ability to take a vague requirement and turn it into a fully automated, verifiable test strategy.
