Job summary

Pri India It Services in Bengaluru seeks a Lead Automation Tester to drive automation for web, API, and data platforms. You will design scalable frameworks, mentor QA engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

You should have 7+ years in automation testing, strong Java and OOP, and hands-on with Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured, TestNG, Cucumber, and SQL databases like Snowflake/Redshift/Oracle. Git and CI/CD experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years hands-on automation testing experience.
• Senior/Lead automation engineer in enterprise-scale apps.
• Strong Java with OOP concepts.
• Hands-on with Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured.
• Experience building automation frameworks (TestNG, Cucumber, JUnit).
• Automating web, API, DB apps across platforms/browsers.
• Expert SQL with Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle, Databricks, or SQL-based systems.
• Knowledge of SDLC/STLC, QA best practices.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Analytical, debugging, problem-solving; detail-oriented.
• Lead automation initiatives and mentor juniors.

Lead Automation Tester

Job Description

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of handson experience in Automation Testing.
• Proven experience working as a Senior/Lead Automation Engineer or equivalent role in enterprisescale applications.
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Java with solid understanding of OOP concepts.
• Extensive handson experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured or similar.
• Strong experience in developing automation frameworks like testNG , Cucumber ,Junit ,etc.,
• Experience automating web, API, database applications across multiple platforms and browsers.
• Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries and working with databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle, databricks, or SQLbased systems.
• Excellent understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC/STLC, test design techniques, and QA best practices.
• Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
• Candidate should be a strong individual contributor with the ability to independently drive automation initiatives and lead automation team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across crossfunctional teams.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with exposure to test planning and estimation.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools and concepts is an added advantage.
• ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA, or other relevant testing/automation certifications are a strong plus.
• Architect, design, and implement scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks using industrystandard tools, libraries, and best practices.
• Lead the development of automation strategies aligned with business requirements, CI/CD pipelines, and overall quality goals.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and QA teams to analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Execute automated test scripts, analyze results, log defects with detailed rootcause analysis, and track issues to resolution.
• Optimize automation scripts for performance, reliability, reusability, and reduced execution time.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and proactively suggest improvements in automation approach, test data management, and testing processes. Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior QA engineers on automation frameworks, coding standards, and testing best practices.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, retrospectives, and release planning.
• Conduct code and test automation reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to maintain test environments and improve deployment and testing efficiency.
• Evaluate, recommend, and drive adoption of new tools, technologies, and methodologies to continuously improve test automation capabilities.
• Ensure quality metrics, automation coverage reports, and test execution results are communicated effectively to stakeholders.
• Contribute to defining and enhancing the overall QA strategy, test governance, and quality roadmap for the organization.
