Job summary

CirrusLabs, LLC is seeking an experienced Test Lead – Automation to drive quality engineering across web applications and APIs from Bengaluru, India. The role combines hands-on automation with technical leadership, test strategy, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will design scalable automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium), build API tests, mentor QA engineers, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure release readiness.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Software Testing and Test Automation.
• 2+ years in QA/Automation leadership.
• Hands-on automation with Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• API automation testing experience.
• Experience with CI/CD integration.
• Experience with Git, Jira, SQL, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall test and automation strategy across UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Build and maintain automated API testing for REST services using Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API, or similar tools.
• Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to QA and Automation Engineers.
• Own test planning, execution, defect management, quality metrics, risk assessment, and release readiness.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establish automated quality gates.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, UX, and DevOps teams; drive root-cause analysis.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Test Lead – Automation to lead quality engineering and automation initiatives across web applications and APIs. The role requires strong hands-on automation expertise along with technical leadership, test strategy, team mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall test and automation strategy across UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Build and maintain automated API testing for REST services using Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API, or similar tools.
• Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to QA and Automation Engineers. Conduct automation code reviews and establish testing standards and best practices.
• Own test planning, execution, defect management, quality metrics, risk assessment, and release readiness.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establish automated quality gates.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, UX, and DevOps teams. Drive root-cause analysis for production issues and continuously improve automation coverage and QA processes.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
• 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring QA/Automation teams.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright, Selenium, and/or Cypress.
• Strong experience in API automation and testing.
• Experience with Git, Jira, SQL, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps practices.
• Experience integrating automation with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Cloud-native and microservices testing experience. Docker/Kubernetes and Azure/AWS exposure. Accessibility and visual regression testing experience. ISTQB or equivalent certification.
