Job summary

MIOT International in Chennai seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure & 24x7 Operations lead to maintain hospital IT systems, networks, and data centers. You will oversee servers, virtualization, cloud, and security, ensuring uptime and reliable connectivity across departments.

The role requires knowledge of Windows/Linux, ITIL, DR planning, and vendor management, with experience in healthcare IT considered a plus. This on-site position offers growth in a demanding clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Networking, Servers, Virtualization, Cloud and Cybersecurity.
• Experience with VMware / Hyper-V / Nutanix AHV.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server and Linux.
• Experience with AWS / Azure.
• Knowledge of Palo Alto / Fortinet / Sophos / Cisco firewalls.
• Experience in Backup, Disaster Recovery and ITIL processes.
• Healthcare IT experience will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain hospital IT infrastructure to ensure 24x7 availability.
• Oversee servers, data centers, UPS, power backup, and server room operations.
• Set and monitor IT service standards, SLAs, KPIs, and operational procedures.
• Handle IT incidents, problems, and changes as per ITIL practices.
• Manage hospital network infrastructure including routers, switches, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
• Ensure reliable and secure connectivity across all hospital departments.
• Implement network segmentation to protect clinical systems, workstations, guest networks, and medical devices.
• Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
• Manage physical and virtual servers and hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix AHV.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure.
• Ensure proper system performance, availability, and resource utilization.
• Work with the IT leadership team to implement cybersecurity measures.
• Manage firewalls, endpoint security, and other infrastructure security controls.
• Plan and maintain regular data backups and Disaster Recovery (DR) systems.
• Conduct DR drills and ensure systems can be restored within defined RPO/RTO.
• Ensure IT infrastructure complies with healthcare and information security standards such as NABH, JCI, ISO 27001, HIPAA/DISHA.
• Manage IT vendors, AMC contracts, hardware purchases, software licenses, and renewals.
• Coordinate infrastructure upgrade and modernization projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time with minimal disruption to hospital operations.
• Lead and mentor the IT infrastructure and network team.
• Manage 24x7 support, shift schedules, and on-call responsibilities.
• Train team members and improve their technical skills.
• Monitor team performance and ensure timely resolution of IT issues.
