Cytecare Hospitals is seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator in Bengaluru to manage and support hospital IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, backups, and security.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in CS/IT/CA or related field.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory.
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy configuration.
  • Hands-on server monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
  • Hardware and storage management experience including servers and racks.
  • Vendor management for infrastructure vendors and AMC contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers and virtualization platforms.
  • Monitor server performance, health, and capacity; perform patching and upgrades.
  • Administer AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and user access control.
  • Maintain server room with racks, UPS, power, and cooling.
  • Administrate network infrastructure and security controls; manage switches/routers/firewalls.
  • Oversee backups, DR procedures, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Support hospital HIS/HMS, EMR, LIS, RIS/PACS, billing and other systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for infra issues and procurement.
  • Document all infrastructure activities and incident resolutions.

Job Purpose

To manage, maintain, monitor, and support the organization's IT infrastructure, servers, networks, storage, backup systems, and related IT services. The role is responsible for ensuring high availability, security, performance, and smooth functioning of critical IT infrastructure across the hospital.

  • Server & Infrastructure Management
  • Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers, including Windows and Linux environments.
  • Monitor server performance, availability, storage, CPU, memory, and system health.
  • Perform server installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user access.
  • Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware/Hyper-V.
  • Ensure timely resolution of server and infrastructure-related incidents.
  • Maintain server room infrastructure, including racks, UPS, power, cooling, and related equipment.
  • Network Infrastructure
  • Manage and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, firewalls, and related network infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance and identify connectivity or performance issues.
  • Coordinate with Internet Service Providers and external IT vendors for connectivity-related issues.
  • Maintain network diagrams, IP address records, and infrastructure documentation.
  • Ensure proper network segmentation and access controls.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery
  • Manage and monitor daily backups of critical servers, databases, and applications.
  • Ensure backup integrity through periodic verification and restoration testing.
  • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery activities.
  • Ensure critical hospital systems have appropriate backup and recovery mechanisms.

  • Implement and monitor infrastructure security controls.
  • Manage antivirus/endpoint security, firewall policies, access controls, and system hardening.
  • Ensure timely application of operating system and security patches.
  • Monitor and investigate infrastructure-related security incidents.
  • Maintain appropriate user access and privileges based on organizational requirements.
  • Hospital IT Systems Support
  • Provide infrastructure support for critical hospital applications such as HIS/HMS, EMR, LIS, RIS/PACS, billing, pharmacy, laboratory, and other integrated systems.
  • Coordinate with application vendors and internal teams for infrastructure-related issues.
  • Ensure availability of IT infrastructure supporting critical hospital operations.
  • Support integration and connectivity requirements for medical and administrative systems.
  • Monitoring & Maintenance
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance of servers, network devices, storage, and other infrastructure.
  • Monitor system alerts and proactively identify potential failures.
  • Maintain IT infrastructure inventory and asset records.
  • Prepare infrastructure performance and incident reports.
  • Ensure all infrastructure-related activities are properly documented.
  • Coordinate with hardware, networking, server, software, AMC, and other IT vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure timely resolution of service issues.
  • Assist in IT infrastructure procurement, installation, migration, and implementation projects.
  • Evaluate infrastructure requirements and provide technical recommendations.
  • Handle and resolve L2/L3 infrastructure-related incidents.
  • Provide technical guidance to the IT support team.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring infrastructure issues.
  • Maintain incident, problem, change, and maintenance records.
  • Ensure timely closure of critical IT incidents as per defined SLAs.
