Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to supervise highway construction projects at multiple sites in Maharashtra. You will manage day-to-day field execution, ensure compliance with drawings and standards, and coordinate with batching plants and subcontractors.

You will also conduct surveys, monitor quality tests, track costs, and maintain daily records to support on-time delivery and project completion. A minimum of 5 years in related infrastructure projects is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in highway construction, flexible/rigid pavement execution, or heavy infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of pavement construction, pavement layer depth calculations, compaction mechanics, concrete mix behaviour, and aggregate gradations.
• Proficiency in Total Station, Auto Level, AutoCAD, and MS Excel.
• Strong experience in site execution, subcontractor management, quantity measurement, and billing.
• Ability to coordinate heavy machinery operations including graders, rollers, and slipform pavers.
• Good knowledge of highway construction standards, quality control procedures, and site safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations for highway construction including WBM/WMM, bituminous macadam, and paver block installations.
• Supervise slipform paving operations, groove cutting, joint schedules, and joint sealing for concrete roads.
• Conduct structural and alignment surveys using Total Station, Auto Level, and digital measuring tools.
• Ensure activities comply with drawings, specifications, grades, and project schedules.
• Coordinate batching plants, aggregate crushers, and monitor mix designs and material gradations.
• Perform field quality tests such as compaction, density, cube casting, and slump tests.
• Track section measurements, process subcontractor RA bills and MBs, and manage labor mobilization.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Estimate quantities, monitor material consumption, and maintain daily site logs.
• Coordinate with project leadership to ensure timely site delivery and project completion.

Key Responsibilities

Site Execution & Technical Supervision

• Supervise day-to-day operations for flexible and rigid pavement construction, including WBM/WMM, bituminous macadam, and paver block installations.
• Oversee slipform paving operations, groove cutting, joint schedules, and joint sealing for concrete road stretches.
• Conduct structural and alignment surveys using Total Station, Auto Level, and digital measuring tools.
• Ensure construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, grades, and project schedules.

Quality Assurance & Material Optimization

• Coordinate with batching plants and aggregate crushers to monitor mix designs, volumetric properties, and material gradations.
• Conduct and monitor field quality tests including compaction, field density, trial cube casting, and slump tests.
• Ensure compliance with MoRTH, IRC, and applicable municipal development standards.

Subcontractor Management & Billing

• Track section measurements, calculate area coverage, and verify daily progress sheets.
• Prepare, verify, and process subcontractor running account (RA) bills and measurement books (MB).
• Coordinate labour gang mobilization and resource allocation across multiple active work zones.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure execution as per approved schedules.

Project Planning & Quantity Surveying

• Perform quantity estimation, material consumption tracking, and density verification.
• Monitor material wastage and project yield.
• Maintain daily site logs, structural measurement sheets, and lift-by-lift execution records.
• Coordinate with project leadership to ensure timely site delivery and project completion.
