Job summary

Ganpati Bharat is seeking a Senior Structure Engineer to lead planning, engineering, execution, inspection, quality control, quantity estimation, documentation, and coordination of highway structures including Minor Bridges, Box Culverts, RCC structures and related works. The role demands strong knowledge of RCC construction, reinforcement detailing, BBS, WBS and AutoCAD, with site execution oversight.

• Prepare quantity calculations and ensure accuracy of BBS and material usage.
• Coordinate with design, QA/QC, planning and field teams; ensure safety at site.

Role & responsibilities

The Senior Structure Engineer will be responsible for the planning, engineering, execution, inspection, quality control, quantity estimation, documentation, and coordination of highway structures including Minor Bridges, Box Culverts, Pipe/Slab Culverts, Retaining Walls, Breast Walls, Drainage Structures and other RCC structures.

The position requires strong knowledge of structural drawings, RCC construction, reinforcement detailing, Bar Bending Schedule (BBS), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), AutoCAD, quantity estimation, structural design concepts, site execution and quality requirements.

• Timely completion of assigned structures.
• Supervise and monitor construction activities for highway structures.
• Manage execution of: Minor Bridges,Box Culverts,RCC Box Structures,Pipe Culverts,Slab Culverts,Retaining Walls,Breast Walls,Drainage Structures,Protection Works,Approach Slabs,Foundations and Substructures
• Quality of structural execution.
• Accuracy of BBS and quantity calculations.
• Reduction in material wastage.
• Drawing and technical issue resolution.
• Compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Progress against WBS and project schedule.
• Reduction in rework and structural defects.
• Timely completion of inspections and documentation.
• Coordination with design, QA/QC, planning and execution teams.
• Safety compliance at structural work locations.
• Effective supervision and productivity of the site team.
• Read and interpret structural drawings, RCC drawings, reinforcement drawings and construction details.
• Prepare, review and modify structural drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare quantity calculations for structural works.
• Supervise foundation, abutment, pier, cap, bearing and approach slab works.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Highway / Road / Bridge / Infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in execution of Minor Bridges, Box Culverts, Retaining Walls and RCC Structures.
• Experience with reputed EPC / Highway Construction companies will be preferred.
• Candidates with experience in NHAI / MoRTH / NHIDCL / State Highway / EPC projects will be preferred.
