Job summary

H.G. Infra Engineering Limited is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer for a 6-lane elevated highway corridor project from Pune to Shirur in Maharashtra. The role focuses on ensuring quality in line with NHAI/MoRTH and IRC standards across all construction phases.

Key tasks include preparing ITPs, monitoring QMS, conducting concrete and material testing, and coordinating with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors. Relevant highway project experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Civil Engineering (Diploma holders with highway/bridge experience may be considered for junior roles).
• Experience on highway/expressway/bridge projects; NHAI project experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MoRTH, IRC, and NHAI quality manuals.
• Hands-on concrete quality control and material testing.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Total Station, and standard survey/testing instruments.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills; MS Office/Excel proficiency.
• Good coordination and communication with site teams and client representatives.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and NHAI/MoRTH requirements.
• Prepare and review Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality checklists for all construction activities.
• Conduct quality inspections for RCC works, reinforcement, formwork, pre-stressed and segmental concrete structures, pier caps, and pile foundations.
• Oversee batching plant quality control, including concrete mix design verification, cube testing, and slump tests.
• Conduct and supervise material testing — aggregates, cement, bitumen, steel — as per approved testing frequency.
• Carry out pavement quality control for GSB, WMM, DBM, BC, and PQC layers.
• Perform / coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) — rebound hammer, ultrasonic pulse velocity — where required.
• Conduct regular site quality audits and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs); track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Maintain quality documentation, test records, and certification for RA bill submissions.
• Coordinate with Third Party Inspection (TPI) agencies, client engineers, and consultants for approvals and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable IRC codes throughout execution.
• Report quality trends, deviations, and risks to the Quality Manager / Project Management team.

About the Project

H.G. Infra Engineering Limited is executing a large-scale 6-lane elevated highway corridor project on NH-753F between Pune and Shirur, involving construction and improvement of existing carriageway over a ~54 km stretch. We are looking for experienced QA/QC Engineers to ensure construction quality meets NHAI/MoRTH specifications and IRC codes across all phases of execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and NHAI/MoRTH requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Strong documentation and reporting skills; working knowledge of MS Office/Excel.
• Good coordination and communication skills to liaise with site teams, consultants, and client representatives.

Preferred

• Experience with segmental/pre-stressed concrete construction on elevated corridors.
• Exposure to large-value infrastructure projects (1,000 Cr+).
• Certification/training in quality auditing or NDT techniques.
