Job description

The Finance Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end financial operations across branches. This role ensures strong financial discipline, robust internal controls, accurate reporting, efficient treasury management, and statutory compliance. The position partners closely with business leaders to drive financial clarity, governance, and sustainable growth in a multi location EdTech environment and the selected candidate will be working from one of the group companies under Lakshya.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage bookkeeping, receipts, payments, and bank/cash reconciliations across all centres
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare, review, and present MIS, financial statements, and management reports
  • Strengthen accounting systems, SOPs, and internal controls
Treasury & Fund Management
  • Monitor daily cash positions and ensure liquidity across branches
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, fund allocation, and payment scheduling
  • Oversee EMI payments, vendor payouts, and statutory dues
  • Maintain banking relationships and negotiate loans, credit facilities, and limits
  • Manage reserves, investments, and fund utilization analysis
Receivables & Student Fee Governance
  • Lead RM–Finance and collections teams across all locations
  • Track overdue student accounts and improve recovery rates
  • Implement receivable controls to prevent revenue leakage
  • Analyse collection trends and define monthly and quarterly targets
Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Partnering
  • Prepare annual budgets and unit-wise P&L tracking
  • Analyse revenue trends, cost structures, and profitability
  • Develop rolling forecasts for revenue, cash flow, and expenses
  • Provide financial insights and risk analysis to leadership and business heads
Compliance, Audit & Statutory Management
  • Ensure timely GST, TDS, PF, ESI, PT, MCA, and other statutory filings
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audits and closures
  • Manage vendor reconciliations, statutory documentation, and certificates
  • Manage vendor relationships, rate negotiations, and settlements
  • Implement invoice verification, approval workflows, and reconciliations
  • Monitor fund flows and ensure accountability across financial transactions
  • Identify financial risks and implement corrective measures
  • Strengthen controls over course registrations (ACCA, CMA US, CMA IND)
  • Lead and mentor Accounts, Treasury, and RM–Finance teams
  • Define roles, track productivity, and conduct performance reviews
  • Build a disciplined, data-driven, and process-oriented finance culture
  • Ensure smooth cross-functional coordination
  • Strong expertise in accounting, treasury, and financial reporting
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and audit processes
  • Leadership experience managing multi-location teams
  • High analytical ability, attention to detail, and process orientation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skill
Qualifications

CA and ACCA qualified

CA Final Part Qualified also maybe considered.
