Job summary

Riello Power India is seeking a Senior Executive - Purchase to oversee the complete procurement cycle, ensure on-time material availability, manage inventory, and optimize costs. The role requires strong vendor negotiation, ERP data updates, and cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Production, Planning, Quality, Stores and Finance.

The candidate should have 5+ years of domestic purchasing experience and a proven track record of supplier management and delivery performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete purchase and procurement cycle, including Purchase Indents, Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, order confirmations, and procurement tracking.
• Plan and ensure on-time availability of materials as per production requirements, with effective monitoring of long and super-long lead-time items.
• Manage inventory levels, shortages, excess and obsolete inventory, ensuring optimum stock levels and minimum production disruption.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, including price negotiation, commercial terms, payment terms, MOQ and lead time.
• Identify and develop alternate sources for critical components to ensure supply continuity and reduce procurement risks.
• Monitor supplier performance related to delivery, quality, cost, and service, and coordinate corrective actions for repeated rejections.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Planning, Quality, Stores, and Finance for new part, material planning, payments, and other procurement requirements.
• Ensure timely dispatch and delivery follow-up with suppliers and logistics partners, including expediting critical shipments and material shortages.
• Ensure accurate and timely ERP updates for purchase prices, part codes, descriptions, supplier data, and other procurement master data; drive digitization of procurement information.
• Manage supplier rejections, returns, replacement materials, and credit notes, ensuring timely closure and supporting internal/external audits.
• Prepare and monitor monthly procurement MIS, supplier matrix, open PO status, shortage reports, inventory reports, import status, and other procurement performance reports for management.
