Job summary

Asian Paints seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer to oversee the process control system upkeep at the Greater Noida plant. You will maintain DCS/PLC systems and instrumentation, ensure timely maintenance, and coordinate planned downtime while monitoring network health such as Profibus DP and Profinet.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, spares management, and collaboration with vendors to support automation initiatives and facility reliability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with process control systems (DCS/PLC).
• Experience maintaining instrumentation (level, flow, temperature, pressure, weighing).
• Knowledge of industrial networks Profibus DP and Profinet.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and upkeep of process control systems (DCS/PLC and field instruments).
• Maintain maintenance schedules for critical systems and ensure timely activities.
• Coordinate planned downtime and assess health of network topology.

Job Description:

• Maintenance and upkeep of the process control System:-


• Maintaining proper maintenance schedule for all critical process control & monitoring system DCS, PLC & Field Instrument and ensure the proper and timely maintenance activities as per standard guidelines


• Co-ordination for any planned downtime Checking the health of the communication topology Profibus DP & Profinet and taking necessary actions


• Hands on experience of ABB DCS & PLC system


• Basic understanding of communication topology or network Hands on experience of various type of monitoring & measuring instrumentationLevel, Flow, Temperature, Pressure, Weighing system


• Spares Management:- Maintaining adequate inventory of spares and consumables towards Instrumentation asset Ensuring proper budgeting Actual vs budget Timeliness


• People Management:- Direct & guide team members counsel workmen & address grievances Review performance in order to build a motivated team & a performance oriented work culture


• Vendor Management:-Co-ordination with various instrumentation Vendors for procuring material, services & alternate solution with reasonable cost


• Software trouble shooting for various Application systems communication DCS,PLC


• Supporting new automation initiatives at Plant eg, local communication, Enterprise Asset Management, Efficiency improvement tools etc
