Job summary

DHL Supply Chain India seeks an experienced Warehouse Operations Lead to manage receipt, storage and dispatch while ensuring SLA adherence and cost control.

You will supervise warehouse staff and contracted agencies, drive Continuous Improvement, conduct cycle counts and MIS reporting, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for receipt, storage, and dispatch management as per SOPs.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for day-to-day coordination with customers.
  • Monitor warehouse activities and take actions to meet targets and standards.
  • Plan and implement strategies for service improvement and reduce TAT while managing costs.
  • Initiate proactive management and anticipate customer requirements.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations to meet accuracy with clients.
  • Introduce Continuous Improvement Programs as scope grows.
  • Analyze KPI reports and review with customers for corrective actions.
  • Lead the administration of warehouse staff and contracted agencies.
  • Allocate tasks to warehouse teams for efficient operations.
  • Ensure timely submission of MIS reports.
  • Conduct training, development, and motivation of the team.
  • Uphold safety and environmental health standards for operations.

Job Scope:

Manage warehouse operations and deliver high service levels to ensure that the team meets results in line with customers' agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and in accordance with network procedures and defined standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility for receipt, storage, and dispatch management as per agreed standard operating procedures.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for day-to-day coordination with customers.
  • Monitor warehouse activities and take appropriate actions to meet company targets and standards.
  • Plan and implement strategies for improvement in service and performance turnaround time (TAT) while managing costs.
  • Initiate a proactive management style and anticipate customer requirements.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, monthly wall-to-wall counts, and stock reconciliations to meet stock accuracy agreed with clients.
  • Introduce Continuous Improvement Programs as the scope of work grows.
  • Analyze periodic KPI reports and review them with customers for corrective actions.
  • Lead the administration of warehouse staff and contracted agencies.
  • Allocate tasks to warehouse teams for efficient operations.
  • Ensure timely submission of management information system (MIS) reports.
  • Conduct training, development, and motivation of the team.
  • Uphold safety and environmental health standards for operations and personnel.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly meetings with customers and management.
Experience:

3 – 5 Years

Qualification:

Any graduate
