Qualifications

Senior Executive/ Assistant Manager, Procurement

To manage end-to-end procurement activities for wind energy projects and operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of spares, materials, and services. The role focuses on supplier management, contract negotiations, compliance, process efficiency, and cross-functional coordination to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

• Manage procurement of spares, components, and services for Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) across multiple OEM platforms such as Gamesa, Regen, Inox, and others.
• Execute end-to-end procurement processes from RFQ to Purchase Order issuance.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
• Develop sourcing strategies to optimize cost and ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Support localization and global sourcing initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency.

Vendor Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
• Conduct commercial negotiations to achieve favorable pricing, payment terms, and service levels.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions where required.

Commercial & Contract Management

• Review commercial terms and conditions in line with company policies and Indian contract law.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and procurement governance requirements.
• Handle commercial discussions related to warranties, penalties, liquidated damages, and payment terms.

SAP & Process Excellence

• Utilize SAP MM for procurement transactions, reporting, and inventory coordination.
• Maintain procurement documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes.
• Drive process improvements and digital procurement initiatives.

Supply Chain & Logistics

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
• Support import/export activities and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Monitor material movement and mitigate supply chain risks.

Compliance, Audit & Governance

• Support internal and external audits, including QMS, EMS, and Safety audits.
• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate documentation for financial instruments such as Bank Guarantees and related commercial securities.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Stores, and Project teams.
• Support cross-functional teams in planning procurement requirements and resolving supply-related issues.
• Prepare procurement reports, presentations, and management updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related discipline).
• Additional certification in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Materials Management will be an advantage.

Experience

• 5-8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or sourcing functions.
• Experience in wind energy industry procurement preferred.
• Hands-on experience in sourcing WTG spares and services.
