Responsibilities

• Procurement for solar and wind energy projects, including modules, inverters, structures, cables, and electrical components.
• Vendor management: develop and maintain a strong vendor base; evaluate supplier performance; prepare and process RFQs, RFPs and purchase orders; negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.
• Coordinate with engineering, project, and site teams for technical specifications and timely delivery; monitor inventory levels and cost-effective procurement planning; track market trends and identify cost saving opportunities; manage logistics and resolve supply chain issues.

The company is looking to hire a Manager/ Deputy Manager with a strong background in solar and wind power projects, to oversee procurement activities for solar, wind, substations (up to 220 kV), and transmission line projects. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and ensuring timely availability of materials in alignment with project requirements.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Project Procurement Planning:

• Manage end-to-end procurement for solar and wind energy projects, including modules, inverters, structures, cables, and electrical components.

2. Vendor Management:

• Develop and maintain a strong vendor base; evaluate supplier performance regularly.
• Prepare and process RFQs, RFPs and purchase orders.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and efficiency.

3. Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations

4. Procurement and Co-ordination:

• Coordinate with engineering, project, and site teams for technical specifications and timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure cost effective procurement planning.
• Track market trends and identify cost saving opportunities.
• Manage logistics, coordination and resolve supply chain issues.

QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors degree in engineering / Diploma Electrical/ Supply Chain Management
• Minimum 6 years of work experience in procurement in the renewable energy or power infrastructure projects.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Strong knowledge of substation equipment (upto 220kv) and transmission line materials.
• Experience in handling EPC procurement processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Sap/ Oracle)
• Must have excellent computer skills i.e. Microsoft Office
• Strong writing and public speaking skills;
• Strategic Sourcing, Vendor negotiation and management, contract management, supply chain coordination, strong analytical and communication skills.
