Job summary
Hydro Prokav Pumps India Pvt Ltd, part of Ingersoll Rand, is seeking a Service Engineer to provide on-site technical service across South India. You will attend customer complaints, analyze pump issues, and propose corrective actions while traveling extensively to client sites in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.
The role demands strong communication, customer focus, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Experience in the pump industry, preferably in service, maintenance, troubleshooting, or commissioning activities.
- Strong knowledge of pump operation, maintenance, and failure analysis.
- Willingness to travel extensively across customer locations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer assignments.
- Communication requirements: proficiency in English, Tamil & Hindi.
- Knowledge of additional regional languages an added advantage.

- Attend customer complaints and provide timely technical support.
- Analyze pump failures and identify root causes.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions to improve pump performance and reliability.
- Register customer complaints in the system and track them through to closure.
- Coordinate with internal departments and customers to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
- Prepare service reports and communicate findings professionally.
- Provide technical guidance and maintenance recommendations to customers.
- Take ownership of customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Travel extensively across South India for service activities and customer support.
