Job summary

HG Infra Engineering (HGIEL) in Jaipur seeks aLead SCM professional to drive end-to-end procurement for highway, rail and infrastructure projects. You will coordinate with Planning, Projects, Engineering, Commercial and Finance to develop project-wise procurement plans and manage sourcing, vendor development and performance.

The role requires hands-on experience managing materials, equipment, services, and long-lead items, with a focus on negotiations, cost benchmarking and working-capital

Qualifications

• Experience leading end-to-end SCM for large infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to develop project-wise procurement plans.
• Skilled in sourcing major construction materials and services.
• Experience evaluating and developing vendors/suppliers.
• Strong track record in rate negotiation and cost benchmarking.
• Experience tracking supplier performance and compliance.
• Ability to prepare SCM MIS/dashboard and quantify savings.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SCM and procurement for highway, railway, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop project procurement plans in coordination with Planning, Projects, Engineering, Commercial and Finance teams.
• Manage sourcing and procurement of major construction materials, equipment, consumables and services.
• Identify, evaluate and develop vendors/suppliers, including alternate and reliable sources for critical materials.
• Lead rate negotiation, cost benchmarking, value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
• Monitor material availability, purchase orders, delivery schedules, logistics and expediting of critical/long-lead items.
• Track vendor performance, quality, delivery timelines and ensure compliance with procurement policies and commercial controls.
• Drive inventory optimization, reduction of emergency purchases and improvement in working-capital efficiency.
• Prepare SCM MIS/dashboard covering procurement status, savings, material availability, vendor performance and supply-chain risks.
