Ingersoll Rand plc in Coimbatore, India, is seeking a Purchase Engineer to drive end-to-end procurement, from PR to PO, focusing on indirect materials, MRO and Capex.

You will negotiate aggressively with suppliers, ensure on-time delivery, manage goods receipts and payments, and maintain inventory accuracy to support production efficiency.

Candidates should have 6+ years in manufacturing and be proficient in MS Office and ERP tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• PR to PO conversion and tracking POs to ensure timely delivery.
• On-time delivery of materials as per plant requirements.
• Ensure supplier OTD and quality ratings meet objectives.
• Sourcing indirect materials with focus on pricing.
• Monitor commodity/market trends for price corrections.
• End-to-end transactions till part acceptance and payment.

Job Summary:

As a Purchase Engineer, you will drive the end-to-end procurement process, from converting purchase requisitions (PR) to managing purchase orders (PO), with a core focus onhandling indirect materials, consumables, MRO and Capex requirements. Your primary objective is to ensure the availability of materials as required to ensure the effectiveness of production. You will be responsible for aggressivecost negotiations, suppliers’ management also for seamless management of goods receipt processes and ensuring payments.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for PR to PO conversion and tracking PO s to ensure Timely delivery.


• Responsible for on-time delivery of materials as per the plant requirement


• Ensure supplier OTD and Quality rating to meet departmental objectives and to keep inventory intact


• Sourcing indirect materials with thorough understanding of the requirement for better pricing, in meeting the objectives


• Monitoring commodity / market trends to arrive at the price corrections


• Responsible for end-to-end transactions till part acceptance and payment

Basic Qualification:

• UG / Diploma


• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing Industry


• Experience in handling indirect materials, MRO, Capex (complete plant requirement)


• Effective communication with suppliers towards the achievement of business goals


• Proficiency in MS office / ERP tools.


• Market knowledge of industrial consumables, tools, maintenance requirements etc.,
