Job summary

Sarla Advantech is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for Pune to lead automation projects across multiple industries. The role demands hands‑on Siemens PLC programming, FAT/SAT, and on‑site commissioning with global travel.

You will interpret P&ID, control philosophies, and instrument layouts to implement robust automation solutions, coordinating with customers and internal teams for timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on experience with Siemens PLC programming using TIA Portal, STEP 7, and SIMATIC Manager.
• Good understanding of process control concepts and industrial automation systems.
• Experience with FAT, SAT, and commissioning is mandatory.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
• Willingness to travel for site commissioning and project support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test PLC programs using Siemens PLC platforms (S7-1200/1500/300/400) using TIA Portal, STEP 7, and SIMATIC Manager.
• Understand process requirements, P&IDs, and control philosophies to implement automation logic.
• Configure and integrate field instruments, MCCs, VFDs, and third‑party systems.
• Execute and support FAT, SAT, and site commissioning, including troubleshooting and startup.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams during project execution.
• Prepare and maintain essential project documentation, backups, and as‑built deliverables.
• Ensure adherence to project quality, safety, and engineering standards.
