Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in Tamil Nadu is seeking a vehicle test professional to oversee planning, execution, analysis and reporting of functional, performance and durability tests.

The role involves periodic measurements, life prediction, regular inspections, fault diagnosis, and root-cause analysis, with timely reporting and continuous improvement of testing procedures and processes. A BE/B.Tech and 3–5 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in an engineering discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of vehicle testing experience.
• Experience with functional, performance and durability tests.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, analyze and report complete vehicle tests for functional, performance and durability.
• Perform periodic measurements and life prediction of vehicle systems.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify failures.
• Diagnose failures and determine root causes.
• Prepare timely, structured reports of failures with root cause tracking.
• Create a time plan and optimize resources for testing.
• Support test case development and test routes using customer usage profiles.
• Review and update test procedures and SOPs for testing.
• Handle test-related administrative activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality and processes.

2) Periodic Measurements, analysis and life prediction of vehicle systems
3) Regular vehicle inspection and check-up (Static and dynamic) to find out failures on the vehicles.
4) Failures diagnosis and route cause analysis.
5) Timely and structured reporting of vehicle failures during test with possible root cause and tracking for closure.
6) Time Plan and optimal resources utilization for testing.
7) Support to develop test cases, routes etc with respect to customer usage profile, field failures etc.
8) Support for review / updation of test procedures / SOPs for testing.
9) Handling the test related administrative activities.
10) Focus on continuous improvement in quality and process.
