Job summary

Linde India Limited, Project Management arm, invites a Senior Engineer Planning & Scheduling to lead project controls for EPC and capital projects in Kolkata. You will own detailed baseline schedules, monitor progress, and drive corrective actions to keep cost and timelines aligned with objectives.

The role requires a BE/BTech in Engineering and 6–12 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and project controls; SAP knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 6 to 12 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and controls.
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed baseline project schedules across all phases and deliverables.
• Monitor progress against schedules, identify variances, track performance metrics, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform critical path analysis, evaluate schedule risks and delays, and recommend recovery and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and other stakeholders for seamless execution and communication.
• Plan and optimize resource utilization to support milestone achievement.
• Manage schedule updates and scope changes, maintaining planning records per standards.
• Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and dashboards.

• Additionally, you will monitor project progress against approved schedules, identify variances, track performance metrics, and implement timely corrective actions to achieve planned targets
• Furthermore, you will perform critical path analysis, evaluate schedule risks and delays, assess their impact on project timelines, and recommend effective recovery and mitigation strategies
• Meanwhile, you will coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution, schedule integration, and effective communication across all project functions
• Consequently, you will plan and optimize the utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to support project requirements and milestone achievement
• Moreover, you will manage schedule updates and scope changes, evaluate their impact on project timelines and deliverables, and maintain accurate planning records in compliance with organizational standards and best practices
• Finally, you will prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, forecasts, dashboards, and performance updates while supporting project controls and cost management activities to ensure successful project delivery

• You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, along with 6 to 12 years of relevant experience in project planning, scheduling, and project controls
• SAP knowledge is preferred
