Job summary

Linde India Limited is seeking an Associate General Manager - Planning (PED) in Kolkata, on-site. You will oversee integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover to ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and quality targets.

Responsibilities include baseline planning, progress tracking, critical path analysis, risk mitigation, and cross-functional coordination. Requires 12–18 years’ relevant experience and a preference for SAP PS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical or related discipline.
• At least 12–18 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling.
• SAP PS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Establish baseline schedules and track progress against plans.
• Analyze variances and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.
• Perform critical path analysis and mitigation planning.
• Coordinate with PM, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/C, HSE and other stakeholders for schedule integration.
• Prepare daily to monthly progress reports and dashboards.
• Participate in project reviews to communicate schedule performance and recovery strategies.

Making an impact. What will you do?

• In this role, you will develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases to ensure alignment with project objectives, contractual commitments, and execution strategies
• Additionally, you will establish baseline schedules, track project progress against approved plans, analyze schedule variances, and implement timely corrective actions to ensure successful project delivery within approved timelines
• Furthermore, you will perform critical path analysis, monitor critical and near-critical activities, identify potential schedule risks and delays, and recommend effective recovery and mitigation plans to minimize project impacts
• Meanwhile, you will collaborate closely with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/C, HSE, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless schedule integration, resource optimization, and effective project coordination
• Consequently, you will monitor project performance, assess actual progress against planned targets, and provide accurate forecasting of milestones, deliverables, and project completion dates
• Moreover, you will prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, dashboards, look-ahead schedules, and management updates to support informed decision-making and project governance
• Finally, you will participate in project review meetings, communicate schedule performance, risks, and recovery strategies, and support the successful achievement of project scope, quality, budget, and schedule objectives

• You must be having a bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, or related discipline and have at least 12–18 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling
• SAP PS is preferred
