Job summary

Linde India Limited is seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to provide comprehensive leadership across planning, scheduling, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, risk assessment, and performance reporting for EPC and capital projects.

You will ensure projects stay within approved baselines through effective monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and timely corrective actions, delivering reliable forecasts and actionable management information to support decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 6–12 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and project controls.
• SAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed baseline project schedules for all phases, milestones, and deliverables.
• Monitor progress against schedules, identify variances, track performance metrics, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform critical path analysis, evaluate schedule risks, and recommend recovery strategies.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and other stakeholders for seamless execution and communication.
• Plan and optimize resource utilization (manpower, equipment, materials) to support milestone achievement.
• Manage schedule updates and scope changes, maintaining planning records per standards.

Making an impact. What will you do?

• In this role, you will develop, maintain, and manage detailed baseline project schedules covering all phases, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with project objectives and execution plans
• Additionally, you will monitor project progress against approved schedules, identify variances, track performance metrics, and implement timely corrective actions to achieve planned targets
• Furthermore, you will perform critical path analysis, evaluate schedule risks and delays, assess their impact on project timelines, and recommend effective recovery and mitigation strategies
• Meanwhile, you will coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution, schedule integration, and effective communication across all project functions
• Consequently, you will plan and optimize the utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to support project requirements and milestone achievement
• Moreover, you will manage schedule updates and scope changes, evaluate their impact on project timelines and deliverables, and maintain accurate planning records in compliance with organizational standards and best practices
• Finally, you will prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, forecasts, dashboards, and performance updates while supporting project controls and cost management activities to ensure successful project delivery

• You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, along with 6 to 12 years of relevant experience in project planning, scheduling, and project controls
• SAP knowledge is preferred
