Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop components, assemblies, and systems. You will create 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using Creo and Windchill, prepare specs and BOMs, and ensure designs meet customer and industry standards.

The role requires 3–9 years of mechanical design experience, strong GD&T knowledge, and familiarity with DFMEA and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3-9 years of experience in mechanical design, product development.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as Creo and Windchill.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of DFMEA and problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using Creo, Windchill.
• Prepare engineering specifications, BOM, and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with customer requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production issues.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Support process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ensure product quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and efficiency.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage engineering changes and maintain revision-controlled documentation.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and milestone tracking.
