Job summary

Quest Global, a leading engineering services provider, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to transform ideas into manufacturable reality. The role focuses on designing components using SolidWorks, creating 3D models and drawings, and applying DFM, DFA, and DFMEA principles.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers, perform engineering calculations, and support prototype validation and field issue resolution. Experience in EV or automotive domains is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualification: B.E in Mechanical Engineering
• 5-8 years of experience in Mechanical Design / Product Development
• Exposure to automotive, EV, or industrial product design domains
• Preferred-Hands-on experience in EV motor and controller design, including component development, integration, and validation

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools
• Create and update 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs for new and existing products
• Apply DFM, DFA, and DFMEA principles to ensure robust, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs
• Perform engineering calculations (strength, fits, tolerance stack-up) to validate design integrity
• Support prototype build, testing, and validation (DVP) activities
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to resolve design and production issues
• Analyze and resolve customer complaints and field failures using root cause analysis
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and learnings

Mechanical Design Engineer:-

Technical Competencies and Basic skills:-

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field Experience

5-8 years of experience in Mechanical Design / Product Development

Exposure to automotive, EV, or industrial product design domains

Working Location: Customer Location in Bangalore
