Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Bengaluru seeks a skilled Test Operations professional to lead daily production testing of aerospace hardware, troubleshoot complex failures, and manage ESS and ATE calibration. You will design fixtures, streamline test setups, and ensure AS9100 and IPC standards are met.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in electronics test, deep component knowledge, and hands-on use of oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and calibration equipment.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics with 7–10 years of experience in production testing.
• Deep understanding of electronic components and circuit theory.
• Hands-on experience with ESS/ATE testing and calibration.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production testing activities for aerospace and defense hardware.
• Troubleshoot complex system-level failures to component level.
• Manage Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and thermal/vibration testing.
• Calibrate and validate Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and fixtures.
• Design test fixtures and adapters; optimize test setups to reduce cycle times.
• Review acceptance test procedures and coordinate with Engineering on changes.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, IPC-A-610/IPC-A-620; lead root cause analyses.
• Generate test reports, failure analyses, and yield metrics for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in audits.

What You Will Do

• Test Operations & Execution:Lead daily production testing activities for aerospace and defense hardware and collaborate with the testing team to execute test plans.
• Troubleshoot complex system-level failures down to the component level.
• Manage Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), including thermal and vibration testing.
• Maintain and calibrate/Validation of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and specialized test Equipment’s and test fixtures etc
• Test facility - Fixtures Development:Design test fixtures, Automatic Test Equipment’s , interface test adapters, and specialized cabling.
• Optimize test process and Test set-ups to reduce cycle times while maintaining continuous improvement.
• Review Acceptance Test Procedures for First Article inspection parts and coordinate with Engineering team to execute changes amendments.
• Quality & Compliance:Enforce strict compliance with standards like AS9100, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620 and Standards.
• Lead root cause analysis investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies CPS.
• Generate Conduct various tests on products to identify defects/ malfunctions /abnormalities and generate comprehensive test reports, failure analysis reports, and yield metrics for recurring issues.
• CFT Collaboration - Communicate findings to the testing team and other relevant stakeholders and seek suggestions /solutions.
• Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory quality audits.

Qualifications

• B.E. or B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering, full-time course, with 7 to 10 years of experience
• Electronics Fundamentals: Deep understanding of electronic components and circuit theory across a wide range of technologies.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of units, PCB assembly, and test process reviews, and access to maturity level metric
• Hands-on Experience: Practical expertise in handling of Test Equipment’s used in production testing like Oscilloscope, Power Analyzer, AC/DC power Supply, Function generators and including thermal and vibration testing Machines and frontend software used in these Machines.
• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skill Analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot electronic hardware issues and complex system-level failures down to the component level and perform root-cause analysis over wide range of technologies
• Test Fixture Maintenance: Familiarity on electrical test fixture, Jigs , ATE validation or calibration and maintain and compliance with safety regulations.
• Strong Computer Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Office like MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint, Software Application, Device Driver installation and Configuration etc
