Job summary

RTX is seeking an Entry‑Level Mechanical Engineer (P1) in Bengaluru to join a multidisciplinary engineering team. You will contribute to product design and development, work with CATIA, and support manufacturing and supply chain to meet Kunden requirements.

You will gain hands‑on experience across PLM processes, GD&T, and AS9100/ISO9001 standards while growing in a fast‑paced global environment and contributing to sustaining engineering efforts and cost‑efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in aerospace.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA) and knowledge of Teamcenter/PLM preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of supply chain processes and manufacturing techniques.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, global environment.
• Familiarity with GD&T, quality standards (AS9100 or ISO 9001), and materials.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of electro‑mechanical products; optimize for manufacturability, performance and cost.
• Provide engineering support; address issues via root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain to support production and resolve technical challenges.
• Manage engineering changes and updates to documentation; ensure long‑term solutions.

What You Will Do *

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer (P1) to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Design and Development:

• Sound knowledge on mechanical engineering fundamentals, product design and drawing standards.
• Interpret component drawings, assemblies, and BOMs; proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA) and knowledge of Teamcenter/PLM preferred.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute innovative solutions to engineering challenges.
• Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
• Exposure to electro-mechanical product design is a plus.

2. Operational Support and Problem Solving:

• Provide engineering support in addressing and resolving technical issues.
• Address technical issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to support production and resolve technical challenges.

3. Sustaining Engineering:

• Good working experience in Engineering Change management process, including upgrades, modifications, and obsolescence management.
• Knowledge of materials (metals, plastics), special processes, surface finishes, and consumables (e.g., adhesives, paints).
• Implement engineering changes by providing robust long-term solutions and updating documentation as needed.

• In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and sustainment of electro-mechanical products while providing operational support and solving engineering challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering, to ensure the successful delivery of projects and products.
