Job summary

Rtx India Private Limited is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer - Projects in Bengaluru with hybrid work options. You will lead task-based or medium-scale projects, develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and cost tracking, while ensuring scope control and adherence to PM practices.

The role requires embedded software experience, DO‑178/V&V familiarity, and aerospace-domain knowledge, with strong analytical skills and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Software/Communication/Electronics/Electrical.
• Hands-on Embedded software development with DO178/V&V experience.
• Aerospace domain experience or similar domains (Automotive/Medical).
• Familiarity with design techniques, procedures and standards.
• Good analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with DOORS / Synergy CM / Polarion will be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage task-based or small to medium projects with minimal guidance.
• Develop project plan, schedule, resource plan and budget with the team.
• Track costs and ensure project cost is monitored.
• Identify, document and communicate scope changes to stakeholders.
• Perform critical path analysis and EV tracking of milestones.
• Monitor engineering metrics like on-time delivery and quality.
• Apply PM practices and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do

• Manage task-based, or small to medium projects with minimal guidance from Program/Project engineering group.
• Responsible for developing the project plan, project schedule, resource plan and project budget with the project team.
• Responsible for tracking recurring and non-recurring costs, including project cost.
• Responsible for ensuring scope change is identified, documented, and communicated to the project stakeholders.
• Performing critical path analysis and utilizing earned value management Tracking and monitoring project milestones
• Responsible for tracking engineering metrics like On‑time delivery, Quality, etc.
• Deploying Project Management methods and procedures to ensure adherence to lay down PM practices.
• Coordinating with supply chain/sourcing/purchase/cross‑function department for projects Leading project reviews with Management/Counterparts in USA/Other Countries Identifying Risk triggers and applying Risk Management practices to mitigate/avoid project Risks.

Qualifications You Must Have

• B.E/B. Tech -- Software/Communication/Electronics/Electrical
• Hands‑on experience in Embedded software development, V&V experience following DO178 guideline.
• Aerospace domain, or similar domains like Automotive or medical devices.
• Familiarity with design techniques, procedures, and standards.
• Good analytical skills.
• Experience in DOORS / Synergy CM / Synergy Change / Polarion will be a plus.
