Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Bengaluru, India is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead AS9100 quality initiatives for aerospace manufacturing. You will drive PPAP, PFMEA, APQP processes, oversee inspections, and report quality performance to senior management on a monthly basis.

This onsite role requires 5–6 years in quality, aerospace experience, bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years in quality function with aerospace experience.
• AS9100 quality standards knowledge and aerospace manufacturing exposure.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality inspections and ensure AS9100 compliance.
• Drive APQP, PPAP and PFMEA processes.
• Provide monthly quality performance reports to management.
• Train and supervise QC professionals.
• Identify weaknesses, implement improvements, and reduce waste.
• Ensure alignment with customer, supplier and internal NCR handling.
• Oversee Nadcap requirements in chemical processing (painting).

Overview : What You Will Do:

• Support the QMS standards of AS9100.
• Handle product and process Quality Inspection and monitor quality performance.
• Responsible for providing monthly reports to Management on Quality performance Metrics.
• Establish the company’s quality procedure, standards, and specifications.
• Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements.
• Train & manage a team of quality control professionals (Stamp Control).
• Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Understanding customer expectations of and needs from a product.
• Responsible for handling customer, supplier and internal Nonconformance.
• Drive APQP, PPAP and PFMEA.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Around 5-6 Years in the quality function, driving the quality initiatives of the organisation.
• AS9100 quality standards & prior experience with aerospace manufacturers.
• Good knowledge of processes and quality procedures.
• Working knowledge of inspection methods and aerospace manufacturing experience will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and Quality control tools.
• Knowledge in J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620.
• Knowledge of Nadcap requirements in Chemical Processing (Painting)

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with equivalent experience, including management & supervision experience.
