Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Bengaluru partners with RTX to deliver advanced digital electronic systems for aerospace and defense. The Senior Lead Engineer(Hardware Design) will shape hardware development from concept to production, leading cross-functional teams and tackling complex high-speed interfaces.

You will design digital circuits, manage CCA work, verify with lab equipment, and ensure compliance with DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 6+ years of experience across all phases of the hardware development lifecycle.
• Strong experience in Digital Electronics Design.
• Schematic Capture and CCA Design.
• Hands-on experience with Ethernet, I2C, USB, LVDS, SERDES.
• Experience designing DDR1, DDR2, and DDR3 memory interfaces.
• Experience in DO-160 Testing, MIL-STD-810 Testing, MIL-STD-461 Testing.
• Signal Integrity Analysis and Timing Analysis.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to all phases of the hardware development lifecycle, from concept through qualification and production.
• Design and develop digital electronic circuits and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) using schematic capture tools.
• Develop hardware solutions using Ethernet, I2C, USB, LVDS, and SERDES interfaces.
• Design and support DDR1, DDR2, and DDR3 memory interfaces.
• Perform hardware verification, testing, and troubleshooting with lab equipment.
• Conduct signal integrity and timing analysis to ensure robust designs.
• Support environmental and electromagnetic qualification testing (DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461).
• Apply Design to Cost (DTC+), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Test (DFT).
• Develop and maintain requirements, traceability, and testability throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality hardware solutions.

What You Will Do
