Job summary

Phenom is seeking a skilled Tendering & Proposal Analyst to prepare techno-commercial proposals for Diesel Generator (DG) projects. You will analyze technical specs, drawings, and customer requirements to ensure timely submission, cost optimization, and alignment with client specifications.

Key responsibilities include preparing accurate costing sheets, BOMs, and pricing calculations, coordinating with OEMs/vendors, and supporting management with insights for strategic bidding.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of DG systems, electrical distribution, and tendering processes.

Job Purpose

To prepare accurate and competitive techno-commercial proposals for Diesel Generator (DG) projects by analyzing technical specifications, drawings, and customer requirements while ensuring timely submission, cost optimization, and support for business growth and order conversion.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Tendering & Proposal Management

• Prepare techno-commercial offers for DG Sets and associated systems with high accuracy in costing and technical compliance.
• Analyze tender documents, technical specifications, SLDs, BOQs, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with sales and marketing teams for timely submission of quotations and tenders.
• Prepare revised offers based on customer comments, technical clarifications, and commercial negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with tender requirements, standards, and client specifications.

Costing & Technical Evaluation

• Prepare detailed costing sheets, BOMs, and pricing calculations for DG projects.
• Optimize costing while maintaining technical and commercial competitiveness.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify scope changes and amend costing accordingly.
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for technical inputs, pricing, and delivery confirmations.
• Evaluate vendor quotations and support vendor finalization.

Documentation & Coordination

• Arrange and submit technical documents such as GA drawings, datasheets, test certificates, compliance sheets, and technical deviations.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and execution teams for technical alignment and project feasibility.
• Support layout optimization and technical approvals from clients/consultants.
• Maintain proper records of submitted offers, revisions, and project documentation.

MIS & Reporting

• Maintain and update monthly MIS reports related to tenders, offers submitted, order status, and business pipeline.
• Track key tendering metrics including hit ratio, costing accuracy, and order conversion trends.

Market & Business Support

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging product segments in DG and power solutions.
• Support management with technical-commercial insights for strategic bidding decisions.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization.

Work Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of DG systems, electrical distribution, and tendering processes.
• Understanding of technical specifications, SLDs, GA drawings, and BOM preparation.
• Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience in techno-commercial evaluation and cost estimation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel /Power point preferred.
