Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking an experienced interior trim designer to contribute to cost, weight and performance targets across vehicle interiors. You will provide benchmarking inputs and support concept readiness while coordinating regulatory and durability DVP requirements.

The role requires coordination with cross-functional teams, strong packaging and integration expertise in hard/soft trims, and awareness of global interior trimming technologies and trends.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech required.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in automotive interior trim design and development.
• Strong expertise in trim packaging and component integration.
• Ability to ensure fit, function, manufacturability and serviceability.
• In-depth knowledge of hard trims, soft trims, NVH components and vehicle integration.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Support the team lead in delivering interior trims to cost, weight, performance and timeline targets.
• Provide technical inputs for benchmarking, future roadmap and proof-of-concept readiness.
• Coordinate regulatory, functional and durability DVP requirements.
• Drive first-time-right delivery and propose mitigation plans.
• Track upcoming regulations and incorporate changes for future programs.
• Support achievement of Feature Integration targets.
• Collaborate with CFTs like CAE, BSR, NVH, STA, DE, VD, PQ, NovaC, Validation, PVT, suppliers and project teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused product design.
• Interior trim packaging and integration expertise.
• Knowledge of IS/AIS, ECE, ADR and FMVSS applicability.
• Understanding of product development and lifecycle management.
• Awareness of regulatory, functional and durability validation requirements.
