Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. is seeking a senior Dimensional Engineer in Chennai with 12–15 years of experience to drive design reviews, datum strategies, and GD&T-driven releases.

The role focuses on tolerance analysis, measurement-system reviews, and fixturing plans to ensure robust automotive interfaces. You will build dimensional engineering standards, train teams, and share best practices across suppliers and the Auto-Sector.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech or equivalent engineering degree
• 12–15 years of automotive/engineer experience
• Knowledge of dimensional engineering and GD&T principles

Responsibilities

• Perform detail design reviews and define correct datum and locating strategy
• Release GD&T drawings with functional dimensional schemes
• Conduct tolerance stack analyses for critical requirements
• Review measurement systems in line with GD&T and maintain fixturing strategies
• Develop dimensional engineering standards, manuals and best practices and conduct training/workshops

 Building Dimensional Engineering competencies across Auto-Sector and across suppliers by imparting training and conducting regular workshops.
 Developing Dimensional Engineering Standards, manuals and best practices and documenting the same.
