Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited seeks a Senior Engineer to design and validate the electric powertrain for commercial vehicles, covering motor, inverter, reducer, and e-axle. You will work with proto, validation, suppliers and manufacturing to define specifications and validate them in practice.

You will lead design reviews, perform system analyses for interface issues, and apply expertise in motor/inverter sizing, DTCs, and EV axle design to drive improvements and cost reduction in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in automotive OEMs.
• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communications, or Electrical & Instrumentation.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• High level analytical skills and data management ability.
• Interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
• Good presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design of Commercial vehicle Electric powertrain (Motor, Inverter, Reducer, e-axle).
• Hands-on EV vehicle experience and validation support.
• Support proto, validation teams, suppliers and manufacturing for specifications and validation.
• Provide system analysis for root cause analysis of interface issues.

Senior Engineer - PTD MTBD Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• 1. Design of Commercial vehicle Electric powertrain (including Motor, Inverter, Reducer, e-axle)
• 2. Hands on experience on EV vehicle.
• 3. Support to Proto team, validation team, suppliers and manufacturing for component specifications, definition and validation.
• 4. Provide technical support and system analysis for root cause analysis of interface issues
• 5. Coordinate, lead and participate in design reviews
• 6. Expertise in the following areas: Motor characteristics and sizing, inverter characteristics and fuctions, DTC and its reactions, EV Reducer and EV axle design considerations and sizing.
• 7. To suggest improvements with respect to product improvement, cost reduction etc

Experience 3-5 Years Industry Preferred Automotive OEM Qualifications B.E , B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech in Electrical and Electronics /Electronics and communications/ Electrical and Instrumentation engineering
