Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical/Automotive Engineer to drive design development of automotive electrical systems in Chennai. The role requires a BE in Electrical Engineering and at least 6 years of hands-on experience in engine management, electrical distribution, and driver control systems.

You will lead DFMEA, design reviews, and DVPR finalization, while coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery and compliance with

Qualifications

• BE EE degree required.
• 6+ years of experience in automotive electrical/electronic design.
• Experience in project management from concept to production.
• Knowledge of CMVR legislation.
• Familiar with DFMEA, design reviews, and DVPR finalization.
• Strong interfacing with suppliers and internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Experience in automotive systems design development with aggregates like Engine Management, Electrical Distribution, Driver control systems.
• Lead electrical/electronic system definitions and capability for technical projects from concept to production.
• Understand CMVR legislation and ensure compliance.
• Apply DFMEA, design reviews, and DVPR finalization processes.
• Optimize electrical system design and troubleshoot to meet cost targets.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal/external agencies for system interfacing.
• Act as team lead/competency lead to ensure timely delivery.
• Knowledge of Metaphase or other PDM tools.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• 1) Experience in on Automotive systems Design Development with aggregates like Engine Management system, Electrical Distribution, Driver control systems i.e. Combination switches, all types of switches, Instrument cluster with good understanding of latest technologies.
• 2) Electrical and Electronic system definitions and capability for technical project management from concept stage to production.
• 3) Knowledge on legislation applicable forthcoming CMVR.
• 4) Should have an in depth knowledge on D-FMEA, Design Reviews, SAM finalization of DVPR.
• 5) Knowledge on Electrical system, trouble shooting techniques, Design optimization, Benchmarking, auto electrical upcoming industry trends.
• 5) Sensitivity to the value for the money kind of features.
• 6) Proper interaction communication with supplier and internal and external agencies for Interfacing of system.
• 7) As a team lead/ competency lead with ensuring timely delivery.
• 8) Knowledge about Metaphase systems or any other PDM.
