Our client is looking for a responsible and experienced Senior Architect who will manage the complete architectural scope of projects within the company. Since the company operates as a design and build firm, the Senior Architect will handle design development, drafting, client coordination, interior planning, material selection, statutory drawings, and coordination with site engineers during project execution. This role requires a professional who can independently manage architectural responsibilities for residential and commercial projects while ensuring design quality and technical accuracy.
1. Managing Architectural Design Activities
- Understand client requirements, project goals, and site conditions before beginning design development.
- Develop architectural concepts and layout planning based on client requirements.
- Create functional space planning solutions that maximize usability, ventilation, and natural lighting.
- Ensure that designs align with client expectations, project budgets, and construction feasibility.
- Continuously improve designs through revisions and feedback.
2. Architectural Drafting & Working Drawings
- Preparing concept drawings and schematic designs.
- Preparing floor plans, elevations, and sections.
- Creating staircase details and architectural detailing drawings.
- Preparing door and window schedules and all required drawings.
- Preparing site layout drawings and zoning layouts.
- Coordinating structural, plumbing, electrical and architectural drawings.
3. Client Meetings & Design Presentations
- Attend client meetings to understand design requirements.
- Present design concepts, layout options, and design proposals.
- Explain design solutions and planning decisions clearly to clients.
- Incorporate client feedback and revise designs accordingly.
- Maintain professional communication with clients throughout the design process.
4. Interior Planning & Design Coordination
- Interior space planning and furniture layout design.
- Interior detailing drawings for kitchens, wardrobes, and furniture.
- Selection of finishes, materials, and design elements.
- Coordination with interior vendors and suppliers when required.
5. Material Selection & Design Guidance
- Guide clients in selecting appropriate building materials and finishes.
- Assist with choosing flooring materials such as tiles, marble, or granite.
- Recommend suitable doors, windows, façade materials, and finishes.
- Suggest interior materials for kitchens, wardrobes, and furniture.
- Ensure material selections balance quality, aesthetics, and cost.
6. Statutory Drawings & Compliance
- Prepare drawings required for building approvals when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building regulations, including:

- Clarifying drawings to site engineers.
- Updating drawings when design changes occur.
- Ensuring design intent is maintained during construction.
8. Site Visits & Design Verification
- Conduct site visits when required to review design implementation.
- Verify that construction work follows architectural drawings.
- Identify deviations and recommend corrections.
- Visit site and help in markings as per drawings on site when needed.
9. Documentation & Project Records
- Maintain organized project folders and drawing records.
- Manage drawing revisions and approvals.
- Ensure approved drawings are issued to site teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch)
Experience
Minimum 2 years is mandatory. 3–6 years experience in architectural design and residential projects.
